Commonplace book kept by [Anna Lane ?], undated. Book reviews, poetry and aphorisms by non-Shakers. Inscribed on flyleaf “Mrs. Lane | City.” Handwriting resembles that of Anna Lane. Several pages have been covered by newspaper clippings that can be folded out. Sheets of manuscripts in older script are also pasted in. Two enclosures.
